Type A: Breed: Jersey Heifers
Pregnancy Status: Unmated
Age: 9-14 Months at time of delivery
Weight: 200-280 kgs liveweight at time of delivery.
Price: $1000-$1100 per head delivered to quarantine.
Type B: Breed: Jersey Heifers
Pregnancy Status: Chance Mated to Jersey or Dairy Bulls only
(<23wks PTIC at delivery)
Age: 14-19 Months at time of delivery
Weight: 280-360 kgs liveweight at time of delivery.
Price: $1100-$1200 per head delivered to quarantine.
Pedigree
• Pedigree requirements apply:
- The heifer’s date of birth must be known
- The heifer’s sire must be known and must be an AI or registered animal.
- Additional dam information should be provided where available.
• The vendor must sign a Heifer Information Form at the time of selection.
Property of origin
• The heifers must have been on the property of origin for a minimum of 6 months.
• Vendors must sign a vendor declaration when completing the sale contract.

NLIS tags
• All cattle must be NLIS tagged at time of inspection.
Cattle health
• Cattle are purchased on the basis that the property of origin has clearance for export, the cattle are
eligible for an Australian Dairy Breeding Animal Certificate, the cattle pass all required on-farm
disease tests, and at the time of delivery to quarantine are healthy and fit for export.
• Animals will be subject to a breeding soundness check by an accredited veterinarian at time of entry
into quarantine. Any animal failing this inspection will be rejected from the shipment at vendor risk.
This is a condition of sale.
• Cattle with a hernia, ringworm, warts or other sign of ill-health must not be presented for selection or
delivered to quarantine.
• On-farm disease testing is required and will be carried out by vets nominated by Elders International,
at cost to Elders International.
Conformation
• Animals will be subject to Jersey Australia True-to-Type inspection at time of entry into quarantine.
Any animal failing this inspection will be rejected from the shipment at vendor risk. This is a condition
of sale.
• Polled or cleanly dehorned cattle only.
• No spare teats. Any spare teats must be removed before selection.

• Cape Nelson Feedlot. September/ October 2010. Firm details to be advised later.
Standard Fees
• Unjoined Heifer Preg Test Fee = $5/hd
• Handling Fee = $4.50/hd
• Database Fee = $1.50/hd
Australian Standards for the Export of Livestock
• Cattle selection must comply with the Australian Standards for the Export of Livestock v2.2 –
Standards for the sourcing and preparation of livestock on farm.
