2019 Rising Star

Congratulations Abbie Hanks from Cobden Victoria winner of the 2019 Rising Star.

This year competition was judged by Jane Sykes from Tasmania

Abbie’s entry WELLCOORA VALENTINO VICTORIA was judged first place in this year competition. The great capacity and depth of body of the heifer caught the judges attention and to Jane she is the most balanced heifer of the three entries. Abbie’s entry was the Rising Star winner at the 2018 Geelong Show

2nd Place was Ruby Mackie from Meeniyan Victoria with VIEW FORT TPASH DELL. The judge again loved the great capacity and depth of the heifer but couldn’t find enough balance in the heifer to rank her higher. Ruby won her rising star class at the 2019 Central Gippsland Fair

Rounding out the place getters is Sage Deenan from Leongatha South Victoria showing LANGDALE JOEL ADELE. Adele is a lovely long stretchy heifer but for the judge lacked the depth and capacity to rank above the first and second place getters. Sage won the Rising Star Class at IDW 2019
